$130.00

Discover the hidden magic of botanical printing!

Join us at GroWild, on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Did you know that plants will share their colors and create beautiful prints on fabric or paper!  Botanical printer Jan Quarles will teach you the basics of this amazing process and GroWild owner Terri Barnes will share her knowledge of native plants for printing.  You’ll learn how to choose and place plants and then roll, dye and steam fabric for beautiful prints. Your class fee of $130 includes three premordanted scarves, gloves and other supplies including dyes, sampling fabric and paper and use of all equipment. Wear old clothes and bring your lunch.

Please contact Jan Quarles at jan37129@yahoo.com with questions or to request a PayPal invoice to register for the class. Enrollment is 10 maximum.

Native Restorations

By selecting types that naturally grow in your area or part of the continent; you’re getting plants that are completely adapted to the climate, soils, pests and diseases that may occur there. This means they need less coddling and spraying (if any!), making for an easier-care, lower maintenance landscape. The birds and butterflies in your yard will thank you too.

Rain Gardens

A rain garden is a garden of native shrubs, perennials, and flowers planted in a small depression, which is generally formed on a natural slope. It is designed to temporarily hold and soak in rainwater runoff that flows from roofs, driveways, patios or lawns.

Green Roofs

Today architects and developers are increasingly turning to planted rooftops as a viable and attractive alternative to ordinary gravel-and-tar commercial installations. There are significant practical, economic, environmental and quality-of-life benefits to a green roof.

Custom Contract Growing

We have over 850 species and cultivars of native perennials, wildflowers, trees, shrubs, vines, and grasses. Whether you need a specific hard-to-find variety or large quantity, our experienced team will work with you to find a cost-effective and sustainable native plant solution.

Wholesale Nursery

GroWild is a wholesale nursery offering native plants to customers in the mid-South. Contact us for current availabilities or with your list of needs. Nursery open by appointment only.
